$50? Geez, who has that kind of money to spend on radios? Now look, if
you scrounge through your neighbors trash cans you'll find plenty of
old bcst radios and TV sets. I haven't spent a buck on this hobby in
years thanks to my neighbors. And you won't believe what our EE and
geophysics departments here on campus throw out - my office is filled
with so many electoncis goodies from them (including a URR-1051 receiver!).
If you guys have any interest in QRP there is a QRP newsgroup via
email - lots of building going on in that net. Email me and I'll tell
you how to subscribe.
